Guests on the group booking please contact us if you wish to purchase any additional baggage allowance or ski/snowboard carriage. Don't book directly with Crystal ski as they charge more!

Inflight meals

Unfortunately Thompson Airways have removed their free inflight meals since we booked and replaced them with a purchase only buffet cart. We have requested compensation/meal vouchers from Crystal Ski but it doesn't look very promising at the moment.

Transfers

Transfers are included to taxi us between Saltzburg and Kitzbühel. We hope to arrive in Kitzbühel to enjoy the Christmas Gala Meal. However our flights are quite late, so if we do miss the big feast, Hotel Edelweiss will provide a special finger buffet for us. Christmas Eve is a bigger celebration than Christmas Day in Austria and, we have been told, that after dinner everybody heads to church and then returns to the hotel later for drinks.

Airport Parking

Parking

Book early to get the best deals. We have booked ourselves into the Bristol Airport Silver Parking Zone. It's close to the airport and costs you £29.99 for 8 days.

Insurance - get covered in snow!

Please make sure you have sufficient insurance cover for both being abroad and any activities you're thinking of doing.

Crystal Cover

This is available with Crystal ski at £44 pp age 18 - 64 or £95 age 65+. We personally think this is a bit pricey and it would be better to book separately.

Recommendations

Insurance companies we have used recently are essentialtravel.co.uk and insureandgo.com. They are reasonably priced and you can do medical screening (if required) using their online systems.

Tip

It is worth going for insurance that covers your ski equipment for at least £500 and check the small print to make sure it covers the kind of activity you want to do. (Skiing, boarding, on or off piste, with or without helmets, tobogganing etc)
